An Honorary Professorship and a Guest Professorship Conferred

Recently, an academician of the German Academy of Sciences, Ekkard Brinksmeier, visited Tianjin University and was appointed as an Honorary Professor of Tianjin University. President Zhong Denghua conferred the Honorary Professor Certificate.

Ekkard Brinksmeier is the director of IWT and the Laboratory for Precision Machining (LFM) at the University of Bremen, and a member of German Academy of Technology Sciences. His research mainly focuses on material manufacturing, environmentally friendly processing, modeling and simulation of machining processes and ultra-precision manufacturing technology.

On May 5, John Reid, Director of the Product Technology and Innovation at John Deere, led a delegation to visit Tianjin University. During the visit, he was appointed as a Guest Professor of Tianjin University and conferred the Guest Professor Certificate by President Zhong Denghua.
