Global engagement stands at the forefront of TJU’s agenda. TJU has over 400 agreements with 260 partner institutions in 50 countries/regions, emphasizing faculty and student mobility, education and research collaboration. TJU’s exchange program provides both TJU and international exchange students with a rich curriculum and diverse research options and is tuition-free. This exchange program is currently only available to TJU’s overseas partner institutions.

I. Application Requirements

　　i. Full-time student who is currently registered at and must be nominated by a TJU partner university

　　ii. Good academic record with a background that aligns with the proposed TJU department of study

　　iii. Meet the language requirement of the specific program, if necessary

　　iv. Applicant must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China

　　v. Physically and mentally healthy, with the ability to adapt to new environments

II. Program Duration

　　One or two semesters

　　Fall Semester: September to January

　　Spring Semester: February to July

　　Please note that the schedule above may change slightly according to the university calendar.

III. Application Process

　　i. Applicants apply through their home universities.

　　ii. The university will then select and nominate students to TJU, sending the nomination form to ies@tju.edu.cn

　　iii. Nominated students then complete the online application found at: tju.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx

　　iv. TJU will review the nominations and applications and issue admission notices.

VI. Other Information

　　i. Housing:

　　TJU will provide on-campus accommodation for international students. The rate is approximately 60 rmb/night. In rare cases, students may be required to seek off-campus accommodation.

　　ii. Insurance:

　　International students are required to buy insurance through Tianjin University. Please purchase insurance online (www.lxbx.net) before registering.
