TJU Joins Ed. Fair in Africa

From May 29 to June 8, twenty-two Chinese institutions of higher education took part in the Chinese Higher Education Fair, held in Africa at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and the University of Nairobi, Kenya. The Tianjin University delegation was led by Liu Jianping, Chairman of the University Council, and by delegates from the School of International Education and the Office of International Cooperation. The China Scholarship Council organized the fair.

Tianjin University presented its history, development and recent achievements, attracting widespread interest among African students. The delegates answered questions and elaborated on TJU’s admission policies and scholarships available for international students.

During his stay in Tanzania and Kenya, Chairman Liu also met with leaders of the two African universities, Chinese Embassy staff, and students from Tianjin who study in Africa.
