President Li Jiajun Meets with U.S. Company Guests

On July 23, Tianjin University (TJU) President Li Jiajun met with Mr. Joel Marcus, the Chief Executive Officer of Alexandria Real Estate Equities Inc., and Dr. Chiang J. Li, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Boston Biomedical Inc. Representatives of the Office of International Cooperation attended the meeting.

President Li presented an overview of TJU, including its history, talents training, disciplines, research, and internationalization strategy. Representatives from the School of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, the School of Chemical Engineering, the School of Materials Science and Engineering, and the State Research Center of Industrialization for Crystallization Technology introduced to the guests in details their school, research center, the research focus in relevant disciplines, and international cooperation. Both sides also held discussions on academic issues in the fields of pharmaceutical science, biochemistry, crystallization and materials science. Representatives of the Tianjin Medical University and the Tianjin Cancer Hospital also attended the meeting.
