The CEO of Haldor Topsoe Mr. Bjerne Steffen Clausen led a delegation to visit Tianjin University (TJU) on September 12. TJU President Li Jiajun met with the guests and discussed future cooperation between the university and Topsoe.
Mr. Li introduced the history, current development, and disciplinary strengths of TJU to the delegation. He expressed hope for substantial cooperation in the field of catalysis between the two sides. Mr. Clausen gave an overview of Topsoe. He pointed out the importance of research and development through collaboration between universities and his company. Furthermore, he mentioned that many researchers including himself have lectured or have been appointed as guest professors at universities. He talked about the production center to be established inTianjin, the only one outside Europe and theAmericas. He also hoped for in-depth cooperation in the fields of chemical engineering and industrial catalysis in which TJU has a distinctive strength so as to encourage more TJU graduates to work for Topsoe.
