On March 13, 2013, a delegation from Procter & Gamble, led by Dr. Rhona Knox, Director of Open Innovation Asia, visited Tianjin University (TJU). TJU Vice President Feng Yaqing met with the delegation. TJU representatives from the School of Chemical Engineering, the School of Pharmaceutical Science, and relevant offices also attended the meeting.
Vice President Feng gave a presentation highlighting TJU’s history and strength in engineering. Dr. Knox highly praised TJU’s research strength, as well as the pleasant and effective cooperation with TJU School of Chemical Engineering. She also hoped to further extend and deepen cooperation in various fields with TJU.
Concerning the needs of research at Procter & Gamble as well as the research strength of TJU, both leaders discussed their future strategic partnership and reached a preliminary consensus. They also held a detailed discussion on cooperation in nine fields, including advanced cleaning techniques, system biology, surface modification, solid morphology, ecology for biology group prevention of microbial infection, sustainable materials, micro-processes, particle and fiber regulation, and smart product development.
