Polish Academy of Sciences Presidential Delegation Visits TJU

On September 10, 2013, President Michal Kleiber and Academician Wladyslaw Wlosinski from the Polish Academy of Sciences, accompanied by representatives from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, visited Tianjin University (TJU). President Li Jiajun met with the guests. Representatives from the Tianjin Municipal Science and Technology Commission and TJU associated schools and departments also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, presentations concerning TJU's history and development as well as Tianjin’s science and technology were given to the guests. Also, the delegates updated attendees on scientific research and doctoral programs at the Polish Academy of Sciences. All attendees traded viewpoints on staff exchange, technical collaboration, and research innovation. Next, President Li proffered an overview of TJU's research in the field of new energy. He hoped to work with international partners for synergistic cooperation and a bright future.

Additionally, President Kleiber highly appreciated TJU’s achievements in education, research, and social services. He further stated that Tianjin had deeply impressed them during this visit. He hoped to deepen mutual understanding and trust to lay a foundation for deeper cooperation.

Both sides agreed that the Polish Academy of Sciences and TJU shared a lot in common in research. They have reached agreement on joint research and talent training.
