Delegation from Denmark Gives a Talk on Top Talent Denmark Program

On September 15, 2013, a delegation, led by the Innovation Center Denmark, from well-known Danish universities and enterprises, visited Tianjin University (TJU) and gave a talk on “Top Talent Denmark Program in the Field of Clean Technology”.

Denmarkis renowned for its clean technology, with many of its enterprises in related fields settled in Tianjin. Top Talent Denmark is a dedicated program within the Innovation Center Denmark seeking to promote Danish higher education and career paths for talented Chinese college students. As a part of the Top Talent Denmark program, the Innovation Center Denmark organized five Danish universities, with strengths in the field of clean technology, as well as the Danish enterprise of Haldor Topsoe in China, providing an opportunity for TJU students to meet representatives of Danish universities and enterprises in order to have an understanding of studying and hunting for a job in Denmark.

During the presentation, Mr. Lars Christensen, Science and Technology Consul at the Innovation Center Denmark, gave a briefing on higher education in Denmark. Representatives from five Danish universities provided presentations of their respective universities and related disciplines in the field of clean technology. Chinese student representatives who had studied in Denmark also shared their experience of studying abroad, and the similarities and differences between higher education in China and in Denmark. A representative from Topsoe gave a detailed presentation on the company's primary areas, operation structure, and recruitment requirements.
