A Delegation from the University of Findlay, U.S., Visits TJU

On November 14, Vice President Rebecca A. Butler from the University of Findlay visited Tianjin University (TJU). Executive Vice President Zhong Denghua met with the guests.

Vice President Zhong gave a presentation on TJU, including its rich history, disciplinary strengths and the development of graduate education. Vice President Butler expressed her admiration for TJU’s development over the years as well as its great achievements. She briefed on the academic programs, student training, and international cooperation of the University of Findlay, hoping to develop extensive cooperation with TJU.

Subsequently, the delegation held a discussion with representatives from TJU related schools and offices in terms of cooperation in the fields of common interests, and reached consensus on cooperation concerning dual degrees, short-term exchange programs, and faculty exchange.

Established in 1882, the University of Findlay is a private university located in Findlay, Ohio, the U.S. About 3,950 students are enrolled at Findlay, with a student-to-faculty ratio of approximate 14:1. The university has over 60 majors of undergraduate, Master’s and doctorate degrees. In 2012, it was recognized as a “Best in the Midwest” college by the Princeton Review.
