Deputy Mayor of Nice, France Visits TJU for Educational Cooperation

From January 13 to 14, 2014, Dr. Agnes Rampal, Deputy Mayor of Nice, France visited Tianjin University (TJU) with Director Philippe Gourbesville ofPolytech Nice-Sophia. President Li Jiajun received the delegation and held a discussion on training cooperation between TJU and the Polytech Nice-Sophia for engineers.
During their stay in Tianjin, the delegation was received by Ms. Cao Xiaohong, Deputy Mayor of Tianjin, who updated them on the development plan and higher education of Tianjin. Deputy Mayor Rampal was impressed by the recent development of Tianjin. She expressed hope for establishing a partnership with Tianjin and developing cooperation in the areas of higher education and industry.
The delegation also visited the Tianjin Planning Exhibition Hall, TJU History Museum, Feng Jicai Research Institute of Literature and Art, and Hanban (Confucius Institutes’ Headquarters). At Hanban, a discussion was held on promoting Chinese culture and bilateral exchanges.
