Tianjin University and P&G Plan to Establish a Co-Innovation Center

On May 17, 2014, Sun Peiwen, Open Innovation (C+D), Section Head, Corporate R&D at Procter & Gamble (P&G), visited Tianjin University. President Li Jiajun greeted the guest, and discussed in-depth about the establishment of “Tianjin University-P&G Co-Innovation Center”. Attendees included senior officials from Tianjin Science and Technology Commission and representatives from related schools and offices of Tianjin University.

In 2013, Tianjin University was shortlisted as P&G’s strategic partners for global S&T development, the only Chinese university that P&G selects to build a comprehensive partnership.

Through the visit, a thorough discussion on how to reinforce collaboration in joint research and talent training, and how to build up a high-level innovation platform as an avenue for a new model international S&T innovation was held. Also agreed was the plan for co-establishment of “the Tianjin University-P&G Co-Innovation Center”.
