On June 24, 2014, accompanied by representatives from the Tianjin Municipal Education Commission, Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat, Assistant Rector of Chulahorn Graduate Institute of Thailand, led a delegation to Tianjin University (TJU). Representatives from associated TJU schools and offices attended the meeting. Both sides swapped views on student and faculty exchange, as well as joint research. A tentative consensus on future cooperation was reached. During the visit, the delegation visited some labs in the school of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, the TJU History Museum and Feng Jicai Research Institute of Literature & Arts.
Chulahorn Graduate Institute, founded by Thai Princess Chulahorn, is a higher education institute whose aim is to develop postgraduates in science and technology, especially environmental sanitation, environmental toxicology, and chemical biology. The institute provides scholarships for Thai and overseas students studying there every year.
