TISTR Visits TJU

Recently, Suriya Sassanarakkit, Vice Director of the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), led a delegation to Tianjin University (TJU). TJU President Li Jiajun met with the guests. Zhao Hong, Vice President of Tianjin Polytechnic University, Li Xinmin, President of Tianjin Motimo Membrane Technology Co., LTD and representatives from TJU’s School of Materials Science and Engineering and the Office of International Cooperation attended the meeting.

After reviewing their meeting in Thailand in 2002, President Li gave an overview of the university and the construction of its new campus. He hoped that TISTR and TJU would establish ties in advantageous disciplines, especially materials, and facilitate joint research. Vice Director Suriya Sassanarakkit talked about TISTR’s fundamental and applied research and the demands for research results of materials science in Thailand. According to him, it is informative to have visited the TJU History Museum and the laboratories in the School of Precision Instrument and Optoelectronics Engineering. He hoped for further scientific collaboration with TJU in materials and other fields.
