Visit of RMIT University Delegation

On September 23, 2014, Vice President Andrew Maclntyre of RMIT University led his delegation to visit Tianjin University (TJU), and was met by TJU’s Vice President Shu Gequn.

Vice President Shu spoke highly of Vice President Maclntyre’s efficiency in promoting the collaboration between the two universities. Within the two weeks following Vice President Shu’s visit to RMIT at the beginning of this month when joint research and student training were discussed, the terms of a cooperative agreement and the plans for future cooperation had been completed. With such efficiency, Vice President Shu expressed his confidence in the substantial cooperation between the two universities.

After reviewing Vice President Shu’s visit to RMIT, Vice President Maclntyre indicated that the two universities shared a lot in common in terms of distinctive disciplines, which provided a huge potential for cooperation. Currently, the two universities had explored cooperation in terms of a dual master degree program and joint research in the field of automotive. On this basis Vice President Maclntyre hoped to further deepen cooperation in key areas. Subsequently, cooperation details were discussed revolving the dual master degree program, a joint research forum, and joint research in the field of automotive. During the discussion, the timetable for cooperation was established.
