RMIT and TU Sign Letter of Intent for Cooperation on CSC Program

On February 23, Ms. Julie Eisenbise, Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President ofRoyal Melbourne Institute of Technology(RMIT), visited Tianjin University. Vice-President Denghua Zhong met with the guest. Joining him were Professor Fuling Yang, Director ofInternational Cooperation Office, and Zhihua Chen, Director of Academic Degrees Office of Graduate School.

Vice-President Denghua Zhongextended his warm welcome to Acting Vice-PresidentEisenbise, and briefed her on TU’s history, strength in education and research, and international cooperation. Vice-President Zhong expressed his hope for long-term substantial cooperation between the two universities under the framework of the MoU signed last year, especially in terms of student cultivation, faculty exchange, joint research and other mutually beneficial programs. Acting Vice-PresidentEisenbise also gave an overview on the education and research, and international exchanges of RMIT, and showed strong interest in collaboration with TU on student exchange and summer program. Both sides reached at a common ground on research collaboration in the areas of climate change and new energy. During the meeting, Vice-President Denghua Zhong and Acting Vice-President Julie Eisenbise signed Letter of Intent for Cooperation on CSC Program on behalf of the two universities.
