On January 19th, a delegation of three professors from the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering of Rice University visited our School of Chemical Engineering, and had a working discussion with TU International Cooperation Office. Professor Fuling Yang, Director of International Cooperation Office, briefed the guests on the history, disciplinary development of TU and the collaboration with other partners in US in the areas of student training, summer programs and etc. Professors from Rice gave their firm approval of the strength of Chemical Engineering of TU, and expressed their interest in carrying out collaboration between Rice and TU.
Rice University, founded in 1892, is a world-renowned private University in US. Rice is known for its strength in engineering, management, sciences, arts, and anthropology. It ranked 17th in national universities according to US News and World Report, 2010, and 115th in 2010 QS World University Ranking.
