President GONG Ke takes part in the 2nd World Conference on Research Integrity and visits Singaporean Universities

The 2nd World Conference on Research Integrity was held in Singapore on July 22, 2010. President GONG Ke was invited to give a keynote speech. During the conference, some over 350 researchers from 59 countries discussed about the guideline of research, and Singapore Statement (Draft) was launched on the standard of research integrity.

While in Singapore, President Gong and the delegation he led also visited Nanyang Technological University and National University of Singapore. They were warmly received by President Su Guangning, and Deans from College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Engineering and China Affairs Office. Both sides agreed to take active actions to strength their already established cooperation. At National University of Singapore, President Gong and the delegation were welcomed by Provost and TAN Eng Chye, Assistance Vice-President Peter YH PANG, and the Dean and faculty from College of Engineering, and the director from International Relations Office. They reached the cooperation agreement of helping faculty members to establish more substantial cooperation partnerships.

President Gong also met over two dozens of TU alumni in Singapore, and briefed them of the recent development of the university, particularly the new Strategy of International Development and the new campus. He wished their stay in Singapore a pleasant and successful one, and hoped to get more suggestions for university development from them.
