TU students win first Prize at the International Mathematical Contest in Modeling

The 2010 International Mathematical Contest in Modeling（MCM/ICM）held in America recently announced its results. Two competitive teams from the TU Software Engineering School distinguished themselves after the competition. The team led by LIU Hao won the first Prize, and the team leb by LI Fangwon the second Prize. This was the best competition results for Tianjin University students since 1999 when TU first started to participate in the event.

The Mathematical Contest in Modeling and the Interdisciplinary Contest in Modeling, better known as the MCM or the ICM, is an annual international competition held by the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications (COMAP). In 2010, 2254 teams joined in the competition, making it the “hottest” since its inception.
