Pro Vice Chancellor of Durham University visits TU

Professor Andrew Deeks,Pro Vice Chancellorof Durham University andMrs. Sharne Procter,Director of International Office of Durham University paid a visit to Tianjin University on March 19^th. Professor SHU Gequn, Vice President for Research of Tianjin University welcomed the guests. The delegation visited laboratories for geothermal energy and optical engineering. During the lab visits, both sides showed interest in collaboration and proposed for having seminar or workshop in near future to bring together researchers from each university to seek more collaboration opportunities. Professor Andrew Deeks also delivered a speech on “Research and Study at Durham” which gave TU students deep impression on overseas study life.

Professor Andrew Deeks was previously a professor atthe University ofWestern Australia (UWA), and had close collaboration with TU.
