Chairman Jianping LIU Won 2008 IET-Founder University President Award

On March 28, 2008 IET-Founder University President Award Ceremony was held in University of International Business and Economics. Professor Jianping LIU, Chairman of Tianjin University Administrative Council got this award. The other four winners of this award include Professor Zhenhui TAN, Previous President of Beijing Jiaotong University, Professor Zhunmin CHEN, President of University of International Business and Economics, Professor Laibin ZHANG, President of China University of Petroleum-Beijing, and Professor Bing YAN, Vice President of China Central Radio and TV University. Seven presidents got the Nomination for the University President Award, including Professor Yubo DU, Chairman of Beihang University (BUAA) Administrative Council, Professor Jinwu XU, President of University of Science and Technology Beijing, Professor Huiling FENG, Vice President of Renmin University of China, Professor Dexiu MA, Chairman of Shanghai Jiaotong University Administrative Council, Professor Jinfu YE, Chairman of Northwestern Polytechnical University Administrative Council, Professor Junsheng ZHANG, previous Chairman of Zhejiang University Administrative Council, and Professor Ganguo WU, President of China University of Geosciences. Sponsored by IET Educational Foundation and Founder Group, this University President Award is the only award for senior administrators of universities and colleges, and is held among the 26 Member Universities of China Open Resources for Education (CORE) in every two years. IET Foundation was established in 1993 by Chinese-Americans Dr. Fun-Dan Wang and his wife Dr. Agnes Chia Wang. Its endorsement comes from International Engineering Technology, Inc. (IET, Inc.). IET Educational Foundation was established in 1994 in Beijing. Apart from the University President Award, IET has set up several awards for excellent students, distinguished professors and researchers in universities and college. By now, IET has supported over 3,000 young teachers and excellent students from 26 member universities in China.
