Mr. LIU Yuan, a senior student at the School of Materials Science and Engineering attended the Fifteenth International Conference on Composites Nano Engineering (ICCE15) as the only undergraduate participant, and gave a presentation on “Synthesis of Carbon Nanotubes in Gas Phase Based on Hydroxyapatite”. His performance was well received by the experts at the conference. It’s reported that Mr. LIU’s research outcome owes to the Program of Undergraduate Research in Labs developed by the school. This program provides students with more practice opportunities in labs and prepares them for a future career both in academics and industry. ICCE is an important academic gathering in Materials Science co-organized by New Orleans University and International Association of Composites Engineering. This conference attracts more than 400 experts and scholars from over 40 countries.
